The MacGuffin Film Club of CHRIST (Deemed to be University) Pune Lavasa Campus is glad to organize a guest lecture on film direction by Nimisha Nair from the New York Film Academy. The event is scheduled to take place on May 3rd, 2023, at the Central Block Auditorium on the Lavasa Campus.
As a club dedicated to promoting the art and culture of cinema, the MacGuffin Film Club is excited to bring Nimisha Nair to speak to our community of film enthusiasts. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with Nimisha and gain insights into the world of film direction, as well as connect with fellow members of the club.

Nimisha Nair is an MFA Filmmaking student at the New York Film Academy based in Los Angeles. Originally from the beautiful coastal city of Kochi, Nimisha graduated in 2020 with a Bachelor in Design in Film and Video Design from Maeer's MIT Institute of Design in Pune, where she had the incredible opportunity to learn from renowned filmmakers like Indrajit Neogi and Fernando Cabral.
Her passion for storytelling has taken her on an exciting journey, including an internship with the National Award-winning director Anil Radhakrishnan Menon and a stint as a production executive for an ad agency in Bangalore. Nimisha is currently a freelance filmmaker in LA, specializing in writing and direction in addition to working as an Assistant Director and Script Supervisor.
As a filmmaking student, Nimisha has been fortunate to write and direct music videos, documentaries, and narrative short films alongside many talented filmmakers. Nimisha's latest work includes post-production on her thesis short film and working on a feature script.
